Come join us for a lot of fun in Palmdale as we celebrate Pagan Pride Day in
Sunday, September 28, 2008
at 38315 9th Street East in Palmdale, California. Near the Library and City
We will be collecting non perishable food items for the Sunrise HIV/Aids
Coalition Food Bank.
In lieu of admission, please bring some food to donate!
This charity provides food to families of those affected by HIV and AIDS.
Many such families are on disability or welfare, and may not have enough to
make ends meet month to month.
Below is a selection of the workshops and rituals
10:30am – Turning the Elf-Mill
A modern offering rite for communicating with the hidden folk.
Join us to invite the Elves to join our event. Led by Nan, Chieftess of
Hrafn Skjoldr Kindred, with thanks to Ristandi of Blakulla Hall for the
research and rite.
12:00pm – Autumn Equinox
by Coven of the Founding Five
Celebrate Mabon, the Autumnal Equinox and Harvest Festival in Wiccan fashion
with this coven from Hesperia. Coven of the Founding Five is an eclectic
coven founded in 2003.
2:00pm – Odin’s Blot
by Hrafn Skjoldr Kindred
Asatru ritual to honor Odin and other Norse Gods led by DJ Jenkins and Lisa
4:00pm – Children’s Ritual
This ritual will be held by the children and the activities coordinator, and
to participate in it. If any parents are interested in helping out, stop by
the Children’s area.
11:00 – 12:00pm – What is Asatru? By DJ Jenkins
Many ideas surround Asatru. DJ has been Asatru for over a decade. He has
immersed himself in the Lore and will explain this Reconstructionist
religion of the Norse and explain how it functions today. DJ is a member of
Hrafn Skjoldr Kindred, a Heathen and Asatru Kindred in the AV.
12:00 – 1:00pm – Beginning Candle Magic by Cyndia
We will learn about the colors and the carving of our own candles for
magical. This is a hands on workshop. Cyndia is the Elder High Priestess
for Clan of the Desert Oak, and has been practicing the Craft since 1985.
She is an eclectic Witch mainly following a Celtic, Norse, & Native American
2:00 – 3:00pm – Modern Satanism - The Devil Inside by Syn Holliday
Involved in Satanism for 13 years, co-founded the Satanic coven Syndicate of
the Five Points.
4:00 – 5:00pm – Intro. to Ceremonial Majick by Nate Stimmel
Overview of Ceremonial Majick¹s history and traditional sources, with
practical applications in talismanic glyph creation, tarot reading, and
meditative path-working. For the past 10 years, Nate Stimmel has been
independently researching the history of Western esoteric traditions.
11:00am – 12:00pm – Wand Making by Gwahir
Presenting a Wand making workshop for AVPagan Pride Day, offered free of
charge by the noted wand maker, Gwahir. Supplies will be available. At the
end of the workshop a consecration circle will be held for those who wish to
participate. Wands will also be available for purchase at Gwahir’s Magic
Shop booth at the event.
12:00 – 1:00pm –Astrology by Michele White
Have you ever wondered what the Planets have to say to you? Just what do all
those symbols mean on your chart and how can you use that information today?
Take a few minutes to sit with Michele (your friendly neighborhood
Astrologist) and get some answers in language that doesn't take a PhD to
understand! A free Astrology chart will be provided and discussed for 5 of
the workshop participants. Join us to learn the "Language of the Stars" in

Curious about the Wiccan tradition? Join us to learn a little more about
what it means to be Wiccan and to follow the craft.
4:00 – 5:00pm – Commerce Magick in the Ancient World by Tony Mierzwicki
A brief overview of techniques used by shopkeepers in the ancient world so
as to increase and maintain their profits. These techniques are readily
applicable for cultivating and optimizing a successful contemporary
business. Tony is the author of ³Graeco-Egyptian Magick: Everyday
Empowerment² and has devised a system of rituals based on actual ancient
source texts, rather than depending on the work of the medieval grimories
and the Golden Dawn.
